  • "The German police have said that the publication of the caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed in German newspapers may have prompted Jihad Hamad and Youssef al-Haj Dib to devise their plot."

lol! I wonder how they reached that conclusion. The media focused on protests in other parts of the world against this cartoon a few months ago. Maybe they got the idea from there.

  • That's strange. Most of the time I think terrorists are tried in the countries they commit those acts in, no? Anyway I don't know enough about the story to comment beyond what I read here. (tips hat to naddaf)

Well it depends if there is a treaty or a deal between the 2 countries. I don,t think there any deal between Lebanon and Germany for criminal exchanging. Lebanon has to turn German criminals to their country, and I,m assuming the Germany has to do they same.
Same thing with Brazil and Lebanon, There is a Lebanese citizen in Brazil accused of money laundering . Brazil refused to turn her to Lebanon, her name is Rana Qulailat she used to be the head of Al madena Bankck in Beirut. She caused the bank over than 300$ million.
Even American/Lebanese dual Citizen will be prosecuted in Lebanon.

They reached that conclusion because the suspects said that was their motivation.
