Codiac RCMP responded to the corner of Church & Main Street just before 1 P.M. to contain the building because of a suspicious packaged on the 8th floor. Moncton Fire set up command unit on Main Street and were waiting for Hazmat team from Saint John to arrive, which they did just after 3:30 P.M. this afternoon. Police were still waiting for a Hazmat team to arrive from Dartmouth N.S. Nobody was permitted to enter or exit the building. Streets were blocked off by RCMP and public works in every direction downtown at least a block away from the scene.
