Horror Movie
The miserable young calf will spend 4 months in this torture cell.
Try to think of 16 weeks of standing with no ability to move or lie down.
Humans have to make terrible crimes to deserve these conditions in such solitary. The calves did nothing wrong.

Makes me sick, I had to stop. That's what it takes for us to eat tasty veal meat.

calves are reared like this so that their flesh (veal) stays pale. Limited exercise(none)and mainly fed on milk. You think this is bad - wait until you see how pate de foie gras is made... force feeding ducks and geese through a funnel with a plunger - humans, sheesh...
Pass me a burger...

Who wants a steak? Get over it flower child and face reality. Then again if you did face reality you would not be fighting for animal rights but go help kids in Africa but then again you get laid more often and can get high more often fighting for animal rights

@TEXAS HOLDEM123 I wouldn't say that. Upton Sinclair wrote the book "The Jungle" which revolutionized the beef industry in making the standards much higher. Which gives us a healthier food supply. If everyone lived by your philosophy we'd be eating big mac's composed of beef and feces.

@zombieman I might not recall it correctly but did he not write the book trying to advocate the dangers of butchering but all ppl focused on was a dozen pages from the whole book that focused on all the dirty work.
BTW since when did I advocate for foods with lower safety standard?
Safe food and poor treatment of animals can be mutually exclusive.

@TEXAS HOLDEM123 Yes, the book wasn't meant to open the eyes of the beef industry from my understanding, but its exactly what it did.
I understood your comment as "if it isn't broke don't fix it" I think when the animals aren't in good shape it means lower quality meat, so safe food and treatment go hand and hand.
