3 Shot at Rap Video Taping

DALLAS - Three people were shot on Tuesday night during the taping of a rap video in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas.

The incident happened at about 8 p.m. at the Bruton Mart bazaar in the 2200 block of N. Prairie Creek Road, where about 1,000 people gathered for the event, officials said.

Several shots were fired, injuring one woman and two men, who were all transported to Baylor Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two unidentified suspects were detained and questioned but no arrests have been made.

Officials said an undisclosed number of Dallas city marshals were working off-duty at the event but that several Dallas officers were called to the scene to assist with traffic control prior to the shooting.

They said the crowd became difficult to manage after the shots were fired and additional officers were called.

No officers were injured.

The city said it was not told ahead of time about the video filming.
