Several thousand people lined the High Bridge and other vantage points to watch the implosion of the 570-foot high concrete smokestack at the old Xcel Energy coal-powered plant early Saturday morning. About two hundred pounds of emulsion explosives were used to demolish the stack, which took about 20 seconds to fall. The stack was constructed in 1972......
