OH-58D 'Kiowa Warrior' Helicopter pilots target Insurgents Mosul Jan 2007

Insurgents in Mosul using 61mm & 82mm mortars to attack an American base are targeted by pilots (1-17 Cav. from 82nd Airborne)in their 'Kiowa Warrior' helicopters (insurgents call them mosquitoes) armed with rockets & machine guns. Footage provided by Air Scan reconnaissance aircraft.

    the extremist fighters don't even know how to aim their weapon, so why not spare them the trouble and hit them with some helicopters? we could fight on the ground too you know. we have M270 MLRS's and M109A6 Paladin's. the Paladin's can attack you from the ground from 40 miles away. how's that for ya?
