Crazy Chinese Military Training - WAIT FOR IT...

NOTE: The last soldier is not throwing the "hot potato" into the water... instead he actually needs to make sure the C4 explosives lands into the hole on the side of pond, which makes this excercise much harder to perform than it looks...

BTW, this drill is performed in HongKong by stationed Chinese PLA troops

  • I'm glad to see that when the Chinese go to war they won't have any problem jumping through flaming hoops.

  • At present, 2.285 million soldiers are active in the PR of China. They are the world's biggest military, and despite whatever pre-conceived notions the west has, wasn't Japan a backwater? Japan had technology to rival anything in WWII - so, China now is a modern manufacturing powerhouse in ANY field we care to pick at. In Australia, our economic "prosperity" is resource driven because of Chinese consumption ( export demand on their behalf - and smarter than us, because they sell the st More..

    • @Willko Don't worry about the Chinese, it's the singularity we should be paranoid about... The computers won't care what colour your skin is or where your from, they will just kill us all (maybe).

    • @Bax7a Ha good point. Skynet is upon us.

    • @Willko You're correct. Even if they were a bunch of ass clowns their reserve military is over 100 million. They could be armed with sticks and still give the western world a thrashing. And as you point out a large portion of the Chinese might is economic.

  • Typical Chinese, it's fake! When you look at the close up view of the "hot potato" you can clearly see that the last person who drops the "bomb" drops it by his foot outside of the pit while the explosion comes from in the pit.
    Typical Chinese propaganda.

  • As an comparison. The last time I saw an US military released video was how their soldiers are allowed to touch each other in the shower.

  • 1:41 the c4 landed out side the hole but blew up in the middle

  • If you look at the last shot of them throwing the shit around the pit, you'll see that the guy just tosses whatever they're passing around on the ground in front of himself and the the explosion comes from the hole. Everything looks pretty staged and overly sensationalized in this video.

    • @bukowski the exercise would not endanger life and limb. Simulation is the point. Like having a "live drill" at the kamikaze training camp. All the best ones fail!

  • Why do they jump up so high before hitting the ground? That was a circus show. Wouldn't want 2 million of those little bastards coming at you though.

  • Well, they have all the makings of a circus, including synchronized jumping, the rings of flame, and sliding motorcycles.

  • +1 for dramatic kung fu like jump.

    • @dankmofo Drills are one thing. Experience is something else entirely. That why when conflicts come along, like Iraq, Afghanistan, etc, you've got all these minor countries sending at least a small number of troops to participate, so they can gain experience to contribute to their military program and training in general, and to test their equipment and tactics under real scenarios.
