He was trying to get out of there. If you know the surroundings, you'd understand. He has to turn around because that street is a 1 way from the other side of the intersection, and he was facing traffic. His only way out was the way he left, and the drunk idiots were blocking his way. Plus the second video shows he opened his door to talk to the girl but the idiot kicked the door closed... Looks like the driver was just trying to run someone over the whole time on the surveillance video. They'll give him a lesser charge though because they were attacking his car.
