    I would argue that the roads that the government claims helped business grow, was built on the back of profitable businesses.

    In other words “Corporations” created the wealth that was in turn taxed to create the required funds. And those collected funds were then used to build the roads.

      Why is New York City so successful and Detroit such a shithole? Maybe because in NYC its relatively safe to start a business in while in Detroit you're probably risking your life in addition to losing money if you start it in a bad, dangerous area?

      There is a place for government. And without a doubt, government services are needed by the private sector.

      But make no mistake about it, government exists only after someone raises enough cash to enable it's existence.

    see, we the private tax paying citizens paid for and directed the government who works for us to build roads so our goods could get to market more efficiently. this in return increases profit which is then reinvested into more trucks and employees to drive the trucks. as a result the business grows, pays larger sums of taxes and gives the government new incom More..

  • Welp, I just spent all week building roads to reach new businesses that private companies are building. They're putting up the buildings, the parking lots, the landscaping, all the electrical/water/sewage, and the roads themselves. The only thing the government is involved in is permits. Shove that in your context.
