@Kalazam "fags" "don't drive stick". I have a manual in my old Benz and I like it. However if I wanted to use it as a daily driver, I'd probably want an automatic considering it's genuinely more comfortable. Automatics are also neat for elderly people, as they don't have to shift all the time.

@Nasse There are plenty of manual trans cars/trucks that would run all day like that. I've owned cars that I could start with the clutch out. Not all cars have a clutch override switch.

@furious1 so your saying a manual transmission car left in gear could suddenly jump to life and keep going? I have never seen or heard of that happening. I have sometimes accidentally started a manual shift car with the gear in first and the car lurches forward and immediately stops because the engine is not strong enough to idle against the gear.
And if the car is not in gear it wouldnt even lurch anywhere.

When I was about seven, I saw an elderly couple park their car, half way out the car lurched into action, and dragged the old lady across the parking lot.

Manual tranmission cars can just suddenly jump to life and keep going...

I would have thought to jump in from the open door, by running along side the car at first. This guys idea made my sense though.. hence why he's out doing bad ass shit like that and I'm sitting behind a computer commenting on it! Props to the guy who jumped in and everyone cheering for him!
