Two black bears in Xiaozhushan Scenic Spot in Qingdao of East China's Shandong Province are receiving sports training to amaze visitors during the May Day holiday.

The elder one in blue skirt is named Huan and the younger one in pink is named Le. "Huan" and "Le" together means "happiness" in Chinese.

Le Le weighs more than 75 kilograms, but she is very skillful in hurdling. She can easily jump over hurdles of higher than 4 inches. However, the beautiful action has taken much effort of the trainer.

"The black bears walk on four feet, so it takes long time to train them to walk upright. I first improved their limb strength and then made them exercise walking everyday, then hurdling. At the beginning, they could not jump but just stepped over," said Li Biao, the trainer.

Le now can jump over hurdles of higher than 20 inches, twice higher that the length of her legs.

Compared with Le Le, Huan Huan has stronger arms. She can do a dozen of forward somersaults at one stroke.
Apart from hurdling and forward somersault, the two sisters have also learned rope skipping, which they once performed on the stage of CCTV.

"It is a totally new program. They have to cooperate well. Not only them, the people who wave the ropes also have to cooperate well with them by shouting orders. They can jump for more than 110 times in the large rope skipping and Le Le can jump the single rope for 245 times," said Li.
