Student Makes Half Court Shot, Wins Truck 
Craig Horlbeck, a student at San Diego State University, signed up for a Toyota contest to "Shoot for a Car" at Viejas Arena for an "Aztec Night" on October 12, 2012.
He was chosen at random to come to the court floor. On his first and only allowed attempt, he nailed it, making him the proud owner of a brand new Toyota Tacoma.

@TiMthisIS prize winnings are taxed at the marginal tax rate of the citizen (on the fair market value of the prize), so it'll be %13.7 if the truck is about $35K. Less if it's less.. probably closer to 11.5%. That's federal, no idea how state taxes work there. Still a big chunk of change for a college student, still a good deal
