    • @Rothschad Oh lots, ask yourself when did Muslims make any kind of peace that is lasting... Muslims won't be happy until all the world is converted or dead, then they will kill one another over which type of Islam is best...
      As for the Jews they won't be happy until anything remotely Arabic is bones and ash..

      I"m not sure, I guess it depends if you count Afghanistan (a war where European countries are actively participating). But I can definitely say that for the past 70 years Europe "wins" by several orders of magnitude.

    • @gatyair So we're 'broadenning' things now are we....how about we take into account the almost total lack of European airpower (responsible for most Afghan casualties) and get back to the point at hand....who kills and dies more in wars, Western Europe or the Near East...in the last 20 years....yeah, thought so

      O.K, we'll get back to the point at hand. The cartoon depicts the region as if it's a particularly bloody place. I agree it's bloody, but not by European standards. In the past 20 years (a completely arbitrary number), 6000 people were killed by violence. Counting the Romanian revolution (1000), Kosovo (13,000+), Bosnia (90,000), I'll say that's around 17 dead Europeans for every Arab/Israeli.
      I challenge you to find a period in history when Europe wasn't bloodier. Also note tha More..

      And of course, we're forced to drag the Balkans into the matter to take our point...frankly they were considered as part of the Near East right up to recent decades any way...with their propensity for religious/ethnic conflict they have so much more in common with you Middle Eastern folk

      There is no equivalent to the Palestine/Israel absurdity in modern Europe, Europe is an example of how people learn to stop fighting ov More..
