      The next biggest source of illegal gun transactions where criminals get guns are sales made by legally licensed but corrupt at-home and commercial gun dealers"...says alot from the "legal" system...if you don't have them, or can't sell them, then it'll cut the amount of guns in the hands of anyone.

    • @mannixxx I can get a military gun Easter than a legal one. How you ask? Simple go to the Mexican cartel and buy one. If fifty percent of all people carried guns crime would drop. That would include crimes that the police do to the public. Who in a right state of mind would pull a gun to rob or kill with the odds evenly stacked?

    • @mannixxx What truth? That our numbers are put against 9 other countries that combined is about our total population? In that sense it isn't bad. The swiss would be the worse compared to total population. And the fine print of "includes accidental and undetermined deaths" makes you wonder. How is it a gun death if it is undetermined?

As of 2009[update], the incarceration rate was 743 per 100,000 of national population ..I bet the most incarcerations are because of marijuana...time to legalize that shit and spend more on violent crimes.

  • 9.42 per 100,000 people is the same as 9 one hundred thousandths.

    That is .009 percent.

    That is really a tiny fraction given all the guns in this country and the millions of people who own and carry them responsibly. I would not consider abolishing the 2nd Amendment over .009 percent.

  • The majority of these murders are drug, cartel, and gang related by criminals with illegal guns. Out law guns and only outlaws will have guns. I agree that gun crime in Los Angeles is out of control but the legal law abiding gun carriers are not the problem.

  • I have owned guns for 40 years and I have yet to see one of them jump up and
    kill anyone. Cars have killed lots and lots of people, lets ban cars. give it a few years and texting on a cell phone will have killed thousands also.
    Most of the mass shootings recently have been done by Liberals, before you troll my comment look them up and see.
