V-Class Bombers, 1950-1996.
Beautiful aircraft. Made in the UK. Some of you might find the music a bit much so easy up on the volume please.

Great video Necrosis, thx for posting.
The music is the ending theme to the film 'Blade Runner'

When you look at the elegant lines of the Vulcan you realise the designers got everything so right...until you compare it to the Victor which was always a damn ugly bird! Curiously, only a few years seperate the Vulcan and Lancaster yet technology wise they're very different. I miss seeing Vulcans flying over here like they did in my childhood.

Strange how things change. The aircraft themselves don't look that dated but there's probably more computing power in a digital watch than in one of those bombers. Also strange how you can feel nostalgic for a time when it seemed the world was on the brink of destruction.

Those Thor missiles, shown in the first 6 seconds of the film, were of those at RAF Harrington in the late 50's, and prior to being a Thor site RAF Harrington as also home of the 'Carpetbaggers' during WWII (neither have anything to do with the 'V' Bombers.

Amazing aircraft, but bizarre design. Something between Flash Gordon and the Thunderbirds.

@strela1 They are remarkable aircraft,I guess it was a time when designers applied more artistic flair rather than working to what the computer dictates.
