Charlie Rose is probably one of the best mainstream American interviewers I know of -- very objective, asks specific/relevant questions, and clearly has foreknowledge of the subject/interviewee (doesn't walk into interviews 'blind' like Larry King or Katie Couric, for example, with a telepromp mentality and dependence on staff for factual clarifications).

(Watch a Larry King or Katie Couric interview and then a Charlie Rose interview right after that. You'll see exactly what I mean. Rose deliberately interviews people from all over the world of varying political stance to give you a fuller view of a situation. The other two are corporate peons and don't seem to care much about what they're saying or doing -- especially if it's about something complex like world politics [they just shift into the 'are you for or against America' type questions the entire time].)
