Watch this: Mitt Romney comes unglued speaking about his Mormon delusion.

I find these peoples beliefs very weird and disturbing especially since there's plenty of scientific proof it was all made up by a con man. Crazy..

  • I want an atheist president that doesn't believe that their god is going to come back and save them. I think they would be less likely to start a nuclear war not thinking that they are going to be saved and that there is only a limited time in your life.

Hell I'll just take a president that isnt part of a religion that thinks the world must be destroyed in some Armageddon for us to be "saved".

When atheists become an acceptable group to elect, my fear is that we'll just have a bunch of atheist politicians lying directly to us. Am I wrong here?

Thus far we have Pete Stark from California. I'm not saying he's a liar. I don't know anything about the man.

I'd prefer they all keep their magical thinking to themselves.

  • It amazes me how spending over a Billion dollars on political campaigns to get elected President doesn't make more people wonder just what we're getting for leaders. Willard has been a high-roller all his life. His friends and business associates are all high-rollers. Do people really believe he's for the people?! LMAO

  • This guy has a temper problem. And he's got an imposing my views on everyone problem. If you elect him, you deserve him.

  • bat shit crazy, absolutly ridiculous.

the fact that someone this delusional is running for political office is a complete mystery to the rest of the civilized world.

"The second coming of Christ" Ooh grow the fuck up you delusional muppet!

If he were to do the RATIONAL non crazy thing and stand up for sanity, backing natural selection based evolution, denying the fucking drivel that is intelligent design - his church would excommunicate him.
This means, he is running as a mormon.

    I More..

  • There is no way to defend a religious belief other than to say "it is my business" other than that you will always be destroyed by someone with even a modicum of research.

    • @cadillaccuz And if he keeps it his business, I'm totally cool with that. The problem is he plainly stated he intends to legislate "his business". Then we got us a problem. Far as I'm concerned. Far as 49% of Americans are concerned, they're too stupid to understand so fuck 'em.

I am in total agreement with you. This is one part if the many reasons we are to keep religion out of politics. The reason I believe religion is injected into politics is because it allows, for all intents and purposes removing logical discourse from any discussion. Once a religious belief is used as justification for the any part of a political platform certain sections of any population will lean in that direction not y the merit of the argument but for the sake of faith. Which is jus More..

  • This is exactly why the last thing Romney wants to do is "run for President as a Mormon"... because he would actually have to answer questions about his cult. And this was just having to explain his church's views on abortion... imagine how bizarre it would get if he had to explain the magic underwear and Jesus hanging out with the Native Americans after his resurrection.

I don't know what's scarier... the fact that believes all this shit, or that roughly half of the voting populatio More..

    • @ducati135 ....yea, what a loon! His whole business career has been spent in boardrooms where he is the boss and all the other dudes are "yes men". He can't handle adversity because he has little experience with it. His only experience with being told he is wrong was the year he spent in France as a "missionary" - while sneaking around the Viet Nam war draft board.
