Hungary's Bloody Monday
Violence broke out in Budapest last Monday as Hungary was commemorating the 50th anniversary of the start of the 1956 Uprising against Soviet rule.
Police used rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannons to drive thousands of anti-government protestors, who responded with bricks, bottles and Molotov cocktails.
