Raw police dash cam:A Cameron County jury has decided Charles Wayne Warden is guilty of murder in the death of a young Laguna Vista man.

The Oklahoma native shot and killed Juan Jose "Johnny" Bennett and wounded Chris Gutierrez in a parking lot on Oct. 2007 on South Padre Island. As officers arrived at the scene, the shooting was caught on police dash cam video, which the jury reviewed.

The defense claimed Warden was insane at the time of the shooting and did not know what he was doing. But state prosecutors were able to convince the jury Warden knew what he was doing and described him as a "drunk, valiumed up and mean" man who shot the victims.

Warden was convicted of murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault.
