Nice 22 but bad posture. If he fires a higher caliber rifle with some kick, he can injure himself.

Outstanding! De-mystify the things, get him some proper training and safety instruction and you have a kid who will NOT have a firearms mishap.

Sorry, but its a pretty stupid title and explanation. Why would he be scared, hes not 4, and of coarse he is shooting at targets, he is at a gun range, what else would he be shooting?

Could have taught him to use iron sights first.
Or maybe at least teach him to put the stock against his shoulder!

First gun he shoots is one of the most excessively modded 10/22 rugers I have seen in my life. I have a 10/22 with a "tacticool" stock on it but I mean, I don't see any benefit of putting a bipod on a 10/22. For a number of reasons but primarily because 10/22's are probably one of the most balanced rifles weight wise in existence, they do not sway at all and weigh very little. I guess it's just for a little extra ergo? To me it just seems excessive though.

@lucidx1 I don't know, I think it could be a good idea. The .22 he was shooting in the first half of the video was very close in setup to the larger caliber, (.223 I assume) he was shooting in the second. I think it makes for a smoother transition for kids. My M&P 15-22 is set up very similar to my Bushmaster AR. I found that as my kids took hold of the AR, they were very comfortable with it as opposed to other rifles I let them shoot.

@Boneyards
All kinds of videos are on here. This one for several reasons, but mostly to make the heads of the Euroweenie and Australian/New Zealand leftist gun haters explode.

That's a Ruger 10/22 dressed up to look like a real gun. There's nothing "nice" about that peashooter.

@Ham_Sandwich27 The "Nice" thing about the Ruger 10/22 is that it is an extremely reliable rifle to teach children the fundamentals of marksmanship without beating the hell out of their shoulders or having them constantly flinch in anticipation of the recoil. And the second rifle was not a .22LR.
