Judge Patrick Brady set a $1 million cash bond in the Errol Demmerly case today.
The 23-year-old faces 7 felony counts for firing shots at Wausau-area police Sunday.
Officers say Demmerly was shot in the arm after he opened fire on an officer during a routine traffic stop along Business 51.
Detectives don't know why Demmerly got out of the vehicle and started shooting, or what he was doing with two loaded guns and almost 300 rounds of ammunition.
Not long after the exchange Demmerly ran towards the Wisconsin River, where he lost police.
It isn't clear where he went or how he eventually got to Marshfield, but he was arrested there Wednesday.
Demmerly appeared in court today with a bandaged arm. His attorney says there will be more evidence coming to light in this case that will explain what was going on.
