A McAllen, Texas High School Spanish class is requried to memorize and recite the Mexican National Anthem...OH MY GOD! THEY ARE NAZIS! SIEG HIEL MY FUHRHER!
...anyway...Why can't we teach the American Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish instead?

A pledge is a pledge. I would refuse since my allegiance lies with the United States and not Mexico. I think that them having to learn the mexican pledge of allegiance is just plain stupid. YOU LIVE IN AMERICA.

Is it the Mexican pledge of allegance or is it the the US pledge in spanish some guy from mexico commented that it was the US in spanish. I just think this seems more like educating people about other countries and traditions. Seems like a good idea to me specially your nearset neigbour.

As long as this is still the United States of America, and NOT United States of Mexico, I refuse to learn spanish or say the pledge of another country, much less that belonging to Mexico.
