Tibet is not a part of china. Neither is Taiwan. If the Tibetans wanted to be ruled by the chinese, then they would not be protesting. Interesting but not very persuasive. Tibet has been a distinct region for as long as China has or at least since the Buddhist Lamas began rule over it in the seventh century. It is fine that China is 56 different ethnicities but that is not a license to violently subjugate Tibet. As for development, why should Tibet be forced into development in exchange for the total surrender of its autonomy? Your claim that China has "liberated" Tibet is ridiculous. The unions that exist in the West More.., exist now through persuasion. Canada has not forcibly linked Quebec to it through development but through persuasion and if Quebec votes to secede, Canada will not go on a killing and arrest spree nor are Quebec's leaders hiding in other countries. The Dalai Lama is not a puppet of the CIA but what do you call the Dalai Lamas that China names against the wishes of the Tibetans and officially approves of ?
