  • The Iraqis have to police themselves and will never take the initiative unless thrown in the deep end. The British are best conducting covert operation in the desert stopping smuggling instead of being a magnet for every young lunatic with a grudge.
Words like cut and run, retreat are best left to the children in the playground. This is about strategy and real lives.

  • Good Video. Great Britts.
If the Iraqis are capable of sheering up their own country; it will be revealed in the withdrawal. Hopefully this will lead to turn-over the rest of Iraq. I do caution both the U.S. and U.K; that it would comfort insurgents to see these nations divided.

Two things bother me%u2026 I really question as to whether many of the said Iraq%u2019s who complain about foreign occupation, are even local Iraqis themselves%u2026
And I question how many neighbors REALLY want More..

  • the real reason for the move is given in the link below; Patraeus needed to reposition for the upcoming attack on Iran:

Africa?? Where did we run from there? Our last combat there was Sierra Leone, 500 Paras managed to liberate Freetown, something 10000 UN soldiers could not do. Afghanistan??? Really, I thought our boys were controlling and fighting in the most dangerous region of Afghanistan, sorry, we're still there.
US??? We never left, you're fucking More..

  • "Retreat". That's funny. Make's it sound like they left with their tail between their legs. "Withdrawel" would sound better.

What? You would NOT have evacuated Dunkirk. You would be a terrible military general. Sometimes it is quite valid to cut, run and live to fight another day - as the evacuation of Dunkirk later proved later during D-Day.

  • "Wasteland" -is a good name for him -the wasteland is between his ears.

This is a good vid as it shows that the actions the British forces have taken is the right one.The Iraqi's are like most other people they have pride and now feel they can cope and not be occupied.

It is slightly different for the Yanks as they as the Super Power are seen in a different light (just as Britain was when we were the No.1 Super power)You are looked upon with different measures of respect, fear, hat More..
