  • Just don't mention that the earthquake broke critical cooling pipes on at least one reactor, prior to the tsunami.

Here ya go, have some radioactive seabed.

    • @1098r What's left of the fuel rods from at least one reactor is nothing more than a pile of molten nuclear fuel in the basement of the reactors.

It is still going critical on occasion because they keep finding byproducts that only last for a few days time.

    • @1098r The bad part it is, AFAIK, the basements are still flooded in order to keep it somewhat cooled and to insulate the radiation coming from it. So they still can't get anywhere near it to see what it looks like.

  • You know, we went to Tokyo a week after the Tsunami. It didn't take fifteen minutes to realise that we'd haul ass and take my girlfriend's shops and staff and consolidate it all back in the UK.

It cost a lot to do so and they've yet to break even, but they're close. No regrets. I probably have the only UK shop where the cash register is all in Japanese.

  • I think they will have to evacuate Tokyo eventually. The unthinkable has already happened. Make a new capital out of the affected area, on another island. Maybe we all can learn from this disaster.

  • I think eventually the people of Japan will turn on the government officials that sacrificed their children to protect their positions. The crap about preventing panic will wear thin when the massive amount of causalities becomes apparent. I don't understand the government's response, because they won't be able to hide what is happening very much longer. Don't think it's all Japan's problem, wait till The Deadliest Catch has a new meaning.

    • @buttkracken

The same group that killed the Kennedys and pulled off 9-11 are running the damage control in Japan - so I really doubt that you're smart enough to break the conspiracy.

(I left out HAARP, ancient aliens, stealing Middle East oil, and the FACT that Bin Laden's still alive 'cause among us guys IN THE KNOW these things are just...understood to be true)

    • @buttkracken All the same idiots said all the same bullshit about three mile island. Just standard retarded conspiracy theorists talking out of there asses.

There are no bodies piling up from radiation, so, the government and the media and secret agencies are hiding them. etc. etc.

Same things were said with three mile island. You were wrong then too. But, idiot conspiracy theorists never acknowledge that their rhetoric was bullshit. They just move on to the next empty nonsense theory.

    • @ST0N3PONY Sorry Filthy Whore, "when the massive amount of causalities becomes apparent", would imply that they aren't dead yet just poisoned. I guess you feel there's a conspiracy about Fukushima that we're spreading which confirms your insanity.
Go back to something you understand, cookie cutter out another hundred music videos.

Keep ranting your tired recycled bullshit about the media covering up the real disaster. Just like all the same retards did before, and will do again.

  • there's a media blackout about this for sure. hopefully they'll modify all other similar design plants to withstand such an event. after all it's still the best way to produce electricity.

  • Let me rephrase...

If you were elderly near Fukoshima, or if you were ill and couldn't get to a hospital - you had a chance of dying. No one is saying whether your chance of dying was greater than before the earthquake or not - but if you did we can say with certainty that you died in a disaster area, since that's what the area near Fukoshima is called. What IS known is that, since the area around Fukoshima is quarantined, your drive to the hospital may have been longer than it should have be More..
