  • The 10th Ammendment of the U.S. Constitution reserves authority to the States of any powers not reserved in the Constitution to the federeal government. These States "on the front lines" of illegal immigration are more qualified to form a course of action for their State than is the federal government.

Right on Sheriff Joe! I was against Sheriff Joe until now - i feel and still do that his treatment of many state prisoners (drug offenders etc.) is too harsh. Even so, for this i admire him, this is Constitutional law in action! Sheriff Joe will almost certainly be marginalized, i truly hope not, this is truly a very important American dogfight happening before our eyes!

Thanks, I agree with you. I also thought his jails are tough. Not so tough that they break laws though. I have a new found respect for this man. The federal governement will not do a thing here. The sheriff is well known and respected by many in his comunity.

He is defying them. I'd like to agree with you, but can't. The real business of this country takes place in such a way we never hear about them.
