  • I think ALL religious followers have varying degrees of mental instability, but I suppose if I had to compromise, it would be with extremely moderate followers of make believe faiths and that would only be for peaceful purposes. As far as the extremists in ANY religion, I have no use or respect for them at all. This includes muslims AND jews alike.

No respect is a little much. As as they keep their business to themselves and drop the self rightous bs I don't mind em.

I dont mind em either, but only if they fall into the 'moderate' category.

  • Both Palestinians and Israeli are Semites.

They should not really fight each-other.
    Oh well.

  • It's always the people who lose the most. In this case the palestinian people. because the isrealis are protected. So how can you sympathise with those who constantly have the upper hand, they dont need it. The little guy though, who just wants peace, but happen to live where other people fight, get killed, for nothing. Of course israel has th eright to protect themselves. but so does palestine, and they feel attacked, wronged, oppressed so they shoot rockets in an attempt to get a better life, even if it is a long shot. What side should you take if you live in Gaza? An attack from either side will provoke an attack from the other.
It's popular to talk history and argue over who has the right to the land. What does it matter now though? Look at today instead of yesterday! It's natural to take the side of those who are most like you. People who hate muslims will side with israel, just because they hate muslims. People who love jews will side with israel, of course. People who love muslims will side with palestine. People make moral judgements based on their own preferences. It's mob mentality. Just like at a basketball game, people never accept that their team's guy was traveling or fouling. THey don't think it's fair that their guy was should get a penalty, or whatever I don't know sports. That is ofcourse ridiculous, buit it's what you see all the time. Someone on the outside, thinks the bickering is too complicated and unresolvable, and they just give up and say. bomb the whole middle east and be done with it. Turn it into a glass crater is what they say. At desperate times, it seems reasonable to just get rid of the problem. But that's also insane.
When those two protests were showing on screen. Israel supporters on one side, and palestine supprters on the other. I thought it would be nice to see a third demonstration in the middle, advocating peace. holding signs with shaking hands, urgin the crowds to coem together and stop the hate. But people prefer to be angry. Those protesters dont want peace, they would take the opportunity to tear each other apart instead of burying the hatchet. If the crowds did get together, it would turn into a riot.
Meanwhile, people are suffering because of this conflict, because people get so high and mighty and can't play nice. In the recent episode, Gaza was hurt really bad. Israel is pretty much the same. SO I don't feel sorry for them. I do feel sorry for those who got caught in the middle, they just happen to be Palestinians.

  • That's funny . . . I don't remember ever reading about New York Jews murdering their spouses and cutting off their heads. They just wake up in the morning, go to work, and try to make the world a better, safer, more efficient, and healthier place to live.

It's only the A-rab Muslims that have the custom of honor killing their families based on their religion.

    Take a look:
