I think in some areas of China they boil them first and in other areas they boil them afterwards.
The shrimp in this video weren't boiled at all. So yeah, worms.

Not a particularly tasty dish. The hardest part is mastering the act of de-legging, de-heading, and de-shelling the shrimp while it squirms in your mouth. It can be done, you bite the legs, head, and tail off, spit the debris onto your plate, then use your tongue and roll the shrimp around and remove the shell. Then you've got a bit of meat you can chew and swallow, but the shrimp they use for drunken shrimp aren't like Gulf shrimp - they're tiny. Barely worth all the trouble.

not only that it can be dangerous swallowing it alive it also doesnt taste so well.
i love seafood, a lot. but why has it to be alive? some shrimps also carry parasites.
no alive seafood for me
