I believe myself to be a very tolerant person, but I simply cannot tolerate listening to Chinese people talking. Sheer torture.

I actually agree with what they were saying - except, of course, the part about the Oakland Raiders... a little harsh...

To combat the irrelevant and down right stupid comments, here's some facts about Yangtze river:
The Yangtze, Yangzi or Cháng Jiāng is the longest river in Asia, and the third-longest in the world. It flows for 6,418 kilometres (3,988 mi) from the glaciers on the Tibetan Plateau in Qinghai eastward across southwest, central and eastern China before emptying into the East China Sea at Shanghai. It is also one of the biggest rivers by discharge volume in the world.

And, it's among the top most polluted major rivers in the world. It will probably be completely dead in our lifetime.

Yes, sad but true. I just wanted to change the subject from "what Chinese sounds like" to the actual news item.
Chinese btw. is quite fascinating being a tonal language. This is an interesting read: Introduction To The Chinese Language

Yeah, it's tough (impossible) for some people to see/hear past some things. Good work with trying to steer things. Yeah, I'm originally from HK, so know a little about Chinese. :) Cool link. Thanks, PP.

@bs3ac yup stupid. No need to explain. it's very obvious. as you can see how they operate a machine. ever wonder why all products manufactured in china has the lowest quality level? errr.... exactly!!!

@bs3ac "ever wonder"...nope. their labor is cheap. they mass produce. they copy authentic products. quality is very very low and since their product is cheap they export it to countries for a very cheap price.... that is not intelligence. USA,JAPAN or even the BRITS can do that but they choose not too and stick on the quality of the product they produce. So when it says "made in the USA" you know you're getting what you've paid for...and that my son is what you call "in More..

Air quality looks superb! What a paradise.
Then again, Chongqing gets thick fog almost half the year. Still, air quality is shit.
