  • It's amazing what you can do with no armor.

    This is basically a 50cal rifle carrier. I can't see any practical application.

  • Definately in need of spell check. And, just how cool is shit?
    As far as the vehicle is concerned, ain't nothin' but a tin can. Appears it could be pierced by a 30 caliber round. Death trap.

  • Epic title spelling fail.

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Other that than: What's that vehicle good for? A 9mm pistol round could penetrate it?
  • aunfibeouse
    I was wondering if that was a german word. Then I realised it's 'amphibious' spelt in retardese.
  • Don't mean to be a downer or party pooper, but let's be honest - none of us would want to be inside that thing if it got hit by an RPG or ran over an IDE. The sacrifice one makes for being fast and nimble in water or land is exposed track threads, weak side and under carriage armor to save weight, allow bouyancy and that escape hatch. Too much glass on the front and bottom front exposing the pilot as well. Sure, the point is to be faster than the enemy, be able to attack via ambush, etc., but More..
  • Awesome, i want one :) Might be good for a small special forces team to move around trough different types of terrain. Mainly a transport vehicle, and not an offensive weapon. Not technically a tank, as it has no armor, it is made from aluminum and a normal machine gun would rip right trough it. Let alone a 50. cal, or a cannon, or rpg. I wonder how it does on snow though...
    • @john1054 well that will be changed on any production vehicle i'm worried about the paper thing armour on that thing.
    • @Aariss
      Yep. Even a slight increase in armor thickness will massively increase the overall weight, decrease the speed and buoyancy, and increase the engine power requirements. It will also require more heavy-duty tracks. And as they address how to install a higher horsepower engine, they'll find themselves reconfiguring the entire vehicle. That is the issue that tank designers have had to deal with from the beginning in WWI.
      They'll have fun playing with it as long as they can find capital f More..
  • Meh, throw a little weather stripping on that hatch and your fine. Nice vehicle...but it seems to be a bit much for just one .50 cal mounted on top...any other weapons or capabilities for it? Transporting one person and one weapon?
    No shielding on the tracks...it would be easier to disable than most armored vehicles I would think.
