Any player caught pulling this shit should be barred from participating in matches again. Ridiculously disgraceful. While Americans catch a lot of shit for our "football" (not that I'm a fan), I'd say this kind of footage puts us in the green.

This is why I wrote to FIFA after the world cup... Soccer/football depending where you are born, is a very skillfull game.. BUT... how can you call this "the beautiful game".. a bunch of cheaters and liars!
Theonly way to remove this ugly part of the game is to follow up after the game with video submissions and start handing out 1st diving offence 5 game s ban, second offence 10 games, 15, third offence 15 games.
THAT will sort out the shit once and for all.

These idiots still still think that they can pull off these dirty tricks, they fail to see that two or three cameras are pointing at them during the game.
I would make a special commission to watch the games and punish the players who play dirty with a game suspension.

@mcgus The best idea I have heard yet. The only problem being FIFA, who would be in charge of any such commission, is the most corrupt sports organization in the world. Beyond that, the idea of a commission is good-video replays are damning. Yellow cards are a joke and don't stop it. It is truly pathetic.

Bunk is too kind - these are cheats! You can only stop this with lengthy suspensions and team penalties. And the video evidence should be allowed after the game is even over. Other professional sports work that way - soccer has to come into this century to end this ugly unsportsmanlike buffoonery!

Why, of course I have seen the video. Maybe it is you who have not seen it, as nothing in it leads to the conclusion that football is gay, as the other livelaker ploclaims.
Listen, I even saw some of those ridiculous dives on live Tv at the time. But you can always show the ugly part of every sport. Regardless of the vid, football is a nice sport IMO.

I like ALL sports. Football is a great game but the flops and dives are a massive black mark on it. My relatives in England made me realize that flopping and diving aren't going to stop because like all football fans, when I laugh at the pathetic flops, they say "It's just part of the game". It's sad but football fans have seen so much of it for so long that rather than demand the end of it, they just accept it. It's good to laugh at maybe, but part of a sport? No.
