Nazis were idiots. They first had the wholehearted support of Ukrainians and others in the western Soviet Union, because the Germans got rid of Stalin's murderous regime.
Then the Nazis started killing them, and they realized they were no different.

@govett What kind of collection of shit do you have to be to turn a population BACK to wanting to fight for Stalin? The Nazis had to have acted in an unbelievably cruel fashion to have managed a trick like that.

@govett The worst step they made was to continue the hated Soviet collective farms that had caused so much suffering...very stupid, a return to private property would have turned huge chunks of the Soviet Union their way

@Ferrante I know there might be a global crisis that would equal that scale, but I was talking more about the warfare, and how it was fought, and what they fought with. In that aspect we won't see anything like it. Not saying something in the future couldn't be as bad.
