An early morning fire took the life of a man and totally destroyed a mobile home, where he was found.

Metro Fire Asst Chief Scott Cockrum reported that the fire was in the 4100 block of Minuteman. 24 firefighters found the mobile home fully engulfed with flames, but were able to contain it, so it didn't spread any further.

According to Cockrum, when the firefighters entered the home, they saw a man in his mid 50s and determined that his injuries were fatal.

The preliminary investigation states that it appears the fire was accidentally caused.
