    • So wait, the Taliban does not practice Islam? Really?

Or do they actually follow it so closely they make other Islamic people ashamed and or jealous?

Did Mohamed commit the worst unforgivable sin when he decapitated over 800 people himself?

Or is it just when a Muslim kills another Muslim its considered a unforgivable sin?

      LOL ISLAM WHAT A JOKE!

    • Have you read the Quran lately? I doubt you're even muslim, probably some white kid from san francisco suburbs.

2:191 And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.

2:193 And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion i More..

  • This law was for shia minority community which constitute only 10% of Afghan population. Note that I am not supporting the law.
Male dominance in south asian countries is so much that we often see cases of repression of women by the male dominated society in many forms (honor killings, rape as a weapon of punishment, beating women, throwing acid, divorce as a weapon,...).

    • why stifle the freedom of expression? thats what makes our world unique! we can have differing opinions and let each person discover the truth. although, i think the truth has better watered down to a form of relativism, but some people know the hard truth.

    • They have been destroyed by years of war and occupation. Who wants to be a slave. Also their lack of natural resources, industries and education is keeping them backward.

    • thats sad , people arent educated there , if world star educating afghan kids they will bear its fruit after 15-20 years , instead of personal rivaliries their elders must sit together and should think something better for them...

  • American self-righteousness strikes again? Or did CNN just need some solid filler that day? Can you say "Vietnam"? Damnit, we CANNOT impose our own values on this very old culture. Been there, done that, never works, never will! American soldiers have given their lives for the simple goal of erasing Afganistan as a terrorist enclave, in my opinion this goal should not change into trying to "americanize" a basically medieval culture.

  • Threat? It's different morals is all. There is no real moral law, just cultural differences. If you were on the oter side you would have news reports complainin that some conuntry that doesn't want anything to do with you is taking away a husbands human right to have sex sith his wife.
Reports like this take it for granted that what they believe is an undying objective moral fact. But ask them to prove it! Just do it! Try to prove yoursef! You'll find it's nothing more than an opinion with no b More..
