@DEADBEEF ... fair point ... have had a quick look at a Syrian police propoganda vid and they seem to have the word Police in Arabic & English on their cars and bikes ... (only found this on YouTube so wont post it but it's titled "Girl Syria - S.M.F POLICE")

@hammerofodin Well, those dictators were coming to the end of their shelf-life anyway. This is how Arab gov'ts have always changed hands: by coup or revolt. They've never mastered peaceful transfers of power.
