Jim Bucklin was lucky. Doing a ride with a few friends in Arizona, he crashed his Ducati (that is sad enough) and flipped over his handlebars landing on his head and left shoulder followed by a boulder. Had he not worn safety gear, he would have died. This video shows the importance of having proper gear when riding.
