in 20's the polish Leonard Kaczmarkiewicz bought some land in that hill, and the locals named the polish man "alemão"...
so, it was known as morro do alemão,
or the german's hill...
90 years later...
now there are 13 favelas around german's hill, so they call it german's complex...
