  • This is my son's unit.

    The 2/7 Marines out of 29 Palms, CA, is a battle-hardened infantry unit that saw 3 rotations through Iraq, most recently in Anbar Province in 2007, before going to Afghanistan in 2008.

    They did an incredible job under very difficult circumstances.

    Heroes all.

  • i was an 81 mm mortarman in 3/7 weapons company, 29 palms, and anyone who was stationed in 29 palms knows that the best regular infantry units in the world come out of there. the 7th marine regiment is truly battle hardened and the most competent regiment in the marine corps, hands down ! we are ready for anything ! usmc mortarman for life, semper fi !

    • the fact is many commandos and special units fight in secrecy and cover,once they die their families get informed but they dont reveal when and how he died,many others dont have your us nationality or are mercinaries so the same goes for them.

    • at the end of the clip u read the names of the killed in the unit alone!!!consider the fact that its just a fraction of war effort and totall war going on and its a war on all fronts than do the mat and see.
      one more thing russian way of fight focusses much on wounding the enemy to damage their economy war effort.
