That's police brutality?
In the U.S. that's called "going easy" on a suspect.
I'm one of the most vocal opponents of police brutality on this site.... but I don't think that was unnecessary force or brutality. If a suspect is resisting arrest, the police have a reasonable right to use appropriate force to get the subject to comply.
What were they supposed to do.... give him a cup of cocoa and let him think about it for a minute?
