US Navy Missle Detroyer Hit By Oil Tanker Near Iran In The Straight Of Hormuz
The USS Porter, a guided-missile destroyer collided with an oil tanker
in the straight of Hormuz between Iran and the United Arab Eremites
early Sunday. No oil was leaked into the straight, which remains open,
and the Destroyer was able to operate under it's own power after the
collision. The oil tanker, owned by Japan's Mitsui OSK, was bound for
Fujairah from Mesaieed in Qatar, according to ship tracking websites.
