Lamb of God singer held over fans death

Mosh pits can be hazardous to your health....

A singer with US heavy metal group Lamb of God has been arrested in the Czech Republic by police investigating the death of a fan at a concert, a report said on Saturday.

Randy Blythe, 44, was detained at Prague airport on Wednesday in connection with the death of the 19-year-old fan at a 2010 show in the city, the private TV Nova said on its website http://www.tn.cz.

The report said Blythe could be released on Monday after paying bail set at four million Czech koruna ($200,000).

The fan repeatedly tried to climb onto the stage before allegedly being pushed by Blythe and hitting the concrete floor, the report said.

He died 14 days later of his injuries, TV Nova said.

A post-mortem reportedly found that he had not been drunk or under the influence of drugs.

A Lamb of God concert in Prague scheduled for last Thursday at which Blythe had been due to perform was cancelled.

  • Well, stop trying to climb on the goddamn stage, and maybe you won't 'fall.'

By the way, Lamb of God is a terrible band and they have made a career by ripping of Pantera.

<--------That's why you listen to Slayer...

  • People do dumb shit at concerts... especially moshpits.

I bet he was asking for it, and fell the wrong way

and how do they know he was not drinking or on drugs? post mortem means after death, so cocaine and alcohol for instance, would be 100% gone by 14 days passing in the hospital alive!

  • I'm sure there is somewhere in the terms and conditions if you buy a ticket the venue nor band members shall be held responsible for any injuries sustained during the concert.

Or if there isn't, there is now.

    • @adio they have no real ground to arrest him on they have let him out on bail as soon as the bad can get 4,000,000million check kurans i think it is or somthing which is 200,000usd
if they are letting him out on bail like that it proves they have no real evidence that randy was the killer, he was being charged with 4th degree murdur which means he is just connected to the guy from the concert. on another note if the security guards had been doing there job and stopping fans getting on stage then More..

  • "A post-mortem reportedly found that he had not been drunk or under the influence of drugs."

Yeah, 14 days later. Even weed is out of your system by then. That sentence is completely useless in proving anything.

    • @buzzywhumpa I don't know what kind of shwag you got there in Chicago, but everywhere else it takes 30 days to leave your fat cells.

    • @jfm8561 if you smoke infrequently weed is out of your system in a week. if your a regular smoker it can take a month, if you are an intense smoker who gets high several times per day it can take up to 8 weeks to be clean enough to pass a drug test.

    • @GodOfLies If they do a ppm test, then it is in there 30 days regardless of how much you smoke, they will still be able to find it, even if it is only 2 or 3 hits.

  • Heavy metal to me sounds like disturbing noise with screams, No offense to all the heavy metal fans out there but I think that people who listen to that stuff must have some serious mental issues.

    • @Desertsfoxx

^^^ No offense but m gunna say something really stupid and offensive.

Just because you dont understand a music that makes the people that do like it mentally defective.

Good Metal is very complex music with difficult composition that takes an amazing amount of talent to play, and it evokes intense emotion. Some songs have even been covered or even originally recorded by big name symphonies. You sound no different than the people who said jazz in the 30's or rock & roll in t More..

    • @GodOfLies I'm talking about heavy metal not simply metal. I'm a Rock n Roll fan, there's plenty to listen to, heavy metal just gives me headaches.

    • @Desertsfoxx i perserve a certain kind of comment for people like you it goes something like this "fuck you ignorant fuck" if u don't understand something, it doesn't make it right for you to judge people who do like it? that is just plain ignorance
      good day to you sir

  • After Dimebag NEVER try and get on stage again ever. Stages are defended much more seriously these days, even by the artists themselves and don't think metal musicians won't stop playing and ktfo of you just to see you off.

  • on the video it looks more like the guy jumped off. randy only had one hand on him a give him a small push if that. if he really threw him off, randy must be the strongest man in the world for launching him that high with a one hand. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKEG6NNOX0I&

  • how is the fact that there was no drugs or alcohol in the kids system when he died 14 days later a "fact" worth reporting? it doesn't speak to what he was doing that night.

has everyone seen the video of what happened that night that allegedly lead to this kid's death? to me it is crystal clear that the kid was more responsible than randy and there is a security goon who is more responsible than both of them. the club should also share some culpability. the fact that he remains lo More..
