What are Technocrats, and what is a technocracy? Technocrats are unelected "experts" that set policy. You've heard of Obama's science tsar, these tsars are technocrats. They are the bureaucrats that will decide how you are to serve the world state. We are now what the Club of Rome calls "post democratic."   • You are absolutely right. One might add the EU is in the process of being "perfected".

    Nigel Farage is a true statesman of the highest calibe. He is the Ron Paul of the UK and it is such a crying shame that socialised Brit's haven't figured this out yet.

  • How does democracy die?

    People get scared and angry, and instead of voting in new officials, they hand "transitional power" to unelected bureaucrats. These bureaucrats find every reason to sustain the crisis, and thus extend their power, and then they never do return power.

    The EU is taking a scythe to European democracies right now. Elected leaders are falling like flies, and they are being replaced with EU bureaucrats who are supposed to rescue countries and their economies. My More..

  • @tinabeans This hijacking of the word "technocracy" is similar to the hijacking of the "tea party" name as done by Sarah Palin and the rest of the neocons. Just because someone (the MSM even - BBC is where I saw them labeled as technocrats first) incorrectly labels people "technocrats" doesn't mean they are truly technocrats.

    That's like me saying, "tinabeans is a new species of horse, and that's true because I say it is!"...

Mario Monti had no mention of "technocrat" on his wikipedia page until just the past 2 weeks. It's an all-too-obvious hijacking of the technocracy name and you are just falling for the MSM's distraction games.

      H.G. Wells and Aldous Huxley both wrote fiction novels loosely based on a corrupt technocratic society. To call them engineers is laughable.

Don't insult every limited govt libertarian/conservative with the Ron Paul tag, there is a reason William Buckley kicked out pauls idols John Birch and Mcgovern from the conservative movement, they were nutjobs who dragged down the movement with bigotry and racism
