Iran continues its own course on its nuclear program and remains defiant to the
international community, even after the international condemnation which ends up
with economic sanctions.
Now Iran has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz,
a narrow strategically important strait between the gulf of oman and the persian
gulf and major passageway for much of the world's oil supply.

This step was decided by Iranian Government in retaliation for any embargo
and it also vowed taking punishment the United States and Israel, which are accused
by Iran being connected to the recent assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists.
The U.S. and Israel officials denied being involved in assassinations but both countries back up
their hard-line stance on Iran.
Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Saturday: "I think there is consensus
now in most of the capitals of the world that Iran should not be allowed
to turn into a military nuclear power, there is a consensus, at least in the West
and North America, that no option should be removed off the table in regard
to dealing with the threat. We feel the same."
With Irans plan to close the strait of hormuz, the discrepancies on iranian
nuclear power likely going into a new round on powerplays between Iran
and the U.S.but also Israel, especially since Teheran send two warships through
Egypt's Suez canal heading the Mediterranean Sea on Sunday, February 19, 2012.
