Cops smash surveillance cameras during drug raid but live feed catches more

More than a dozen Long Beach Police officers raided the THC Downtown
marijuana dispensary for allegedly operating without a permit. The raid
was caught on camera -- showing officers smashing surveillance cameras
and stepping on volunteer employee Dorian Brooks, who has filed a
lawsuit claiming excessive force was used. Michelle Valles reports from
Long Beach for the NBC4 News at 6 p.m. on July 4, 2012.

Unfortunately it's going to start with riots. We are teetering on the brink, otherwise Obama wouldn't have moved so swiftly to obliterate our constitutional rights. It's a felony to protest a political candidate or other sorts of political functions. Obama and Hillary are going to sign a UN agreement that will result in UN control over US gun laws. The list of rights trampled is endless. Disenfranchised ex military and 400,000,000 weapons in the US could be our only hope to excis More..

    • @RoccoSantoro My friend, the riots have already begun. They're called OWS, and you've been programmed to hate them.

Those people are protesting the rich-controlled police state your nation is becoming, and you've been programmed to hate them.

      Open your eyes.

Uh, no you are mistaken. You are making erroneous assumptions, so......don't. The OWS movement is an important movement which happens to attract people who the media can focus on to discredit and obfuscate the mission. I get it, trust me.
LA had riots, Watts had riots, so a gaggle of hippies sitting on the ground getting sprayed with tear gas for taking shits in bank lobbies are not riots, at least not ones that stir the consciousness.

  • They try to destroy the CAMERAS, which is a real pot head move btw, and that shows that they know what they are doing is wrong. Why cover up a good job?

It is absolutely ridiculous to throw a hissy fit over marijuana, even worse when it is medical marijuana place. Sure patients milk the sytem for cards, but who the hell cares? If someone wants to get high, what they FUCK does that have to do with someone they don't even know? You have to be a real pathetic kind of person to care about that.

It all comes down to dollars across the spectrum of illicit drug manufacturers, cartels and drug dealers down to the guy that sells a joint or two from time to time; to the entire criminal justice system, tax collectors etc...

The dollars spent by both sides of it are well into the tens of billions of dollars a year, and no one wants to give the money up or admit defeat.

We have been in this “war on drugs” since the Nixon administration forty years ago, and it will never More..

Right you are. Like prohibition of alcohol making liquor more expensive and deadly; this "war" is doing the same thing.

People want to have a release of some sort, and some people like drugs and most like alcohol.

It is completely unwinable, but so many people are vested mentally and financially in the way things are that change is going to be hard.
