The Los Angeles Fire Department has been
awarded the 2012 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award for
it's outstanding commitment to fire department employees who also serve
in the guard and reserve.
In this short film, meet four men who pull double duty, serving the
citizens of Los Angeles as firefighters and paramedics, and serving
their country as members of the California Air National Guard and U.S.
Naval Reserve. All four have been deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq for
multiple tours of duty, and all have returned to Los Angeles to a fire
department that has promised to always have their jobs waiting for them.

@Nuckelhed
They are not required to be firefighter nor military reserve. They choose this line of work to serve their fellow man, and do a stand up job while doing it.

How can it be called 'support freedom award' when they're in Iraq and Afghanistan supporting invasions by a repressive regime?
