Hurst PD Officer caught on camera abusing and roughing up 17-yr old teen .....Kelly Pope wants a Hurst police officer off the force. Pope is the mother of 17-year-old Andrew Rodriguez who says the officer, who identified himself on cell phone video as "Arnold 654," used excessive force against her son.
Describing the video of the incident, Pope said, "He comes up at a jolting sprint, kneed him [Rodriguez] in the back of the head and as you can see on the video says, 'If you move I"m gonna [expletive] you up.'
Rodriguez's friend recorded the incident or at least the last five minutes of it and uploaded it.
"Sit down. Shut the [expletive] up. Don't say nothing else," said Officer Arnold while Rodriguez was still on the ground.
"He's okay," said Pope of her son. "He doesn't want any part of anything. He's a little embarrassed."
Pope said she'll go to the Hurst Police Department Monday hoping to talk directly with Police Chief Steve Moore about this officer.
"I would like that guy off the force," Pope said.
Hurst Police gave this statement on the matter:
"This is not behavior that the city of Hurst promotes or condones in any way. We strive to build a stronger, safer community through our work around the city and will continue to do so through appropriate action. The incident will be investigated internally."

Police have an absolute duty to act properly and professionally otherwise they become no better than the criminals they pursue.

"The incident will be investigated internally."
Meaning .... 'My officers will investigate one of their own'
Meaning .... 'The officer was found to have complied with proper procedure'

When cops pull me over for something, I give them whatever papers they want to see, and just yes sir, no sir them. Haven't ever wrestled one of them, don't call them names, don't act disrespectful in any way. As a result, none have ever wrestled me to the ground, none have called me anything other than Mister, and they are always respectful (even the time I got caught doing 90 in a 55, but only got written up for 70). Seems to work for me.

@glivick That's great that thats worked out for you. The same goes for me...
But just because that's our experience, doesn't make it so for everyone else. Sorry to be the one to break it to you.

@glivick You're actually justifying this bully cop's actions. It might be that you have no self-respect that's why you sheepishly obey cops whatever they tell you to do and no matter how verbally abusive they are to you (maybe infront of your family) after they catch you speeding. If one told you to lick his boots maybe you would do it. Sure then you might get along well.
I think most people in the world don't want police that treat citizens like animals. If someone is in the wrong their punish More..

@glivick I used to sound just like you. But man, it's scary as hell when you run into a mentally compromised officer. It will change your viewpoint abruptly and permanently - especially if you have kids or at least a wife.

@glivick Pulling over is one thing. When you drive you are supposed to show ID. When you walk in a public place... Is there a difference for you?

cops in USA seem more like thugs and gangsters to me, those cops had little more than 8th grade education you can see that in their actions and bullying attitude

"Arnold 654" is clearly an unstable violent jerk.
I can't believe the US system is not capable of keeping such psychos away from weapons and police duty.

Arnold, badge #654 has lost any and all semblance of professional bearing and is clearly unsat. Fire this turd before he costs the city a bundle.

I'm a huge supporter of the police. From what we see here, this guy should not be wearing a badge. I don't know if there's more to this than this video shows, but I can't imagine much at all that would justify this officer's actions.

The first cop handled the situation perfectly the kid was acting crazy as first seemed a little pissed but once the cop slowly made him release he was being a dumbass.
BAM silence cooperation no more problems out of him simply handcuffed him and it was over. Then Mr.T came out of nowhere all fucking dopped up on oldspice acting like a complete fucking retard.
Bottom line this is a perfect example of GOOD COP / BAD COP
