I am sending this message to you in hopes that I can spread truth about anonymous.

Anonymous is not a terrorist network, anonymous has no leaders, no plan for world domination. We are the internet and everything that it embodies. Together as a collective we are a powerful legion of individuals who refuse to follow the rules of the status quo. Anonymous has no face. Has no labels. Has no fear. Anonymous is what the world hates the most. A voice. A voice that is not tied to one or two people but to thousands of living. Breathing. People. We are no terrorist network. We are labeled such things because of the actions of a few humans who act of their own free will whilst hoisting the banner of anonymous. The media has called us terrorists because of our determination to shut down a network that exploits its followers .

Anonymous is a breath of fresh air for freedom of expression because anonymity releases the user from fear of persecution for beliefs or ideals. I ask who are terrorists. People who use fear to control people. Well then. You are all terrorists. Every day. People are told to consume. They are told to consume so that they don’t get sick. So their children will be happy. So that they can live happy. Meaningful lives. We are lead to believe that if we don’t have something our lives are not going to be good. If that doesn’t put fear into a person. I don’t know what will.

Anonymous is your neighbor. A teacher. A student. A son. A daughter. Anonymous is the mailman. Anonymous is your nightmare because people want control. And people cannot control the unknown. And that. That is why we are called terrorists. Because you fear the unknown. Anonymous has never bombed. Never killed. Never tortured. Never pillaged, or maimed. Is here to stay. And we won’t be stopped. Because we do not fear you anymore.

The victims of raids on personal websites are not victims of anonymous. They are victims of their own self righteousness. The fools that would destroy lives for laughs are not a true part of the anonymous culture. But a few angry kids with a keyboard and an internet connection who want revenge.

Anonymous is a community of unknowns who have connected and shared with each other. Good or bad. We have it all. And we wouldn’t want it any other way.
We are anonymous.
We are legion.
We never forgive.
We never forget.
And we will never be silenced.
