it was a flash over. the air gets so hot that practically everything in the room incinerates. they should have seen and felt that coming. but that is how many firefighters die.

This was a group of VOLUNTEER Firefighters trying to show how cool their hobby is with absolutely little to no training or experience.
God never meant Firefighting to be a hobby........
