Long-time reporter and MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell revealed on live television Wednesday that she spent her summer discovering, and treating, an early-stage case of breast cancer. She stated that she is now among the “one in eight women” in the country suffering from the disease, yet qualified that she is one of the “fortunate” ones.As the cancer was detected early, Mitchell is on the mend with a reportedly excellent prognosis and is already back at work.
