One tough Chinook
One of our
Chinook helicopters being engaged by an RPG during a routine Night Vision
Goggle Mission. The helicopter sustained minor damage and there were only minor
injuries onboard.
What you see falling off the back of the aircraft is a ramp extension. The good
news is that the aircraft was back in service shortly after this incident and
no one was killed. A testament to good training and good technology.
